I have looked for somer time for a more convienient way of carrying an axe and also a high quality custom leather option that will last me for years and be a practical way of carrying this most useful tool. The Bushcraft Headcover is very high end saddlery leather, fully dip dyed. the snaps are heavy duty and the stitching is high tensile and very neat. You can carry the axe In the cover, on your belt, on a pack and also with the shoulder strap (and tie the strap around other things ie saddles, if required) the headcover also accomodate  axe stone pouch that carrys our axe stone (HERE) and this can be snapped on to the cover with the cover flap still operating. If you want to carry the axe another way you can unsnap the pouch and mount it alone on your belt or pack. 

 

It's very well made, very practical and very flexable.
